ABOUT THE PROJECT

Wastrel Studio proudly partnered with the prestigious Academy of Art University to produce and execute over 40 high-impact video campaigns. With the Academy's extensive portfolio of 30+ specialized schools, ranging from Game Design and Fashion to Graphic Design, our collaboration provided a unique opportunity to explore a diverse range of creative expressions.

School of Fashion’s "Road to Runway" Series: This three-part documentary series followed the journey of MFA students from initial design concepts to their grand debut at New York Fashion Week. We captured the raw passion, creativity, and dedication of these emerging designers, bringing their stories to life in a way that resonated with audiences far beyond the fashion industry.

The Legacy Campaign: By tapping into the Academy’s vast alumni network, we created a series of compelling 'where are they now' stories. This campaign highlighted the achievements of graduates who have made significant contributions to industries ranging from film and animation to advertising. Featured alumni included animators behind Marvel blockbusters and creatives responsible for major campaigns for brands like Apple.

Legacy Campaign

Our goal was to capture stories from alumni, faculty, and staff to be part of a Legacy campaign with the goal of raising the brand image of the school.
We filmed over 8 pieces of core full length content, which were then used in other channels, Blog, School website pages, Digital Ads, TV, and SEM.
